Sometimes it can surprise you. In a way you would have NEVER expected. Maybe it's just this point in my life where I'm starting to really honestly think about where I'm going to be in 10, 20, 50 years. And I've been lucky enough to have confidence that I just might have known... Until now. It's not like its life or death, but it's just this unfamiliar feeling that I have yet to experience. I've had a plan. Ive always been the one, out of all my friends, with a plan. And I'm 100% Type A /Red personality where that plan was THE plan. And we all know that nothing goes according to plan. I'm actually excited for this unfamiliarity, and will probably have to have a constant reassurance that it will actually bring the absolute best things for me and my life.
This sounds super dramatic, now that I'm rereading it and I'd just like to make it clear that is has nothing to do with Keaton... Hahaha
Since about week 3 of college, I knew I wanted to be a Family and Consumer Science Education major and receive my secondary Ed teaching degree. And teach some type of FACS class.
I have had such confidence in myself that I would be great at it, and I truly enjoy going to school to learn how to sew, cook, raise children, decorate, and create budgets. But until I got my incredible job as a wedding host and have been immersed into this world of wedding planning, I didn't realize just how strongly I connected with it all.
And now with some really awesome (hopeful) job opportunities during this upcoming school year, it has all kind of worked itself out.
Let's just say you might not be seeing me in a high school classroom, but in a bridal store owned by yours truly.
Only time, a whole lotta faith, and some major decision making will tell.
No matter what, I know I will end up doing exactly what I need to be doing. Thats the beauty of it all.
Life is good.
