"First Look"

This was a video that we chose to do of our "first look". I have absolutely NO regrets!! Not only do we have some really special photos of Keat and me, but we have some serious perfect video footage of it too. Our videographers are actually our cousins, Jake and Haley Sorensen. They have their own business, "CommuniquĂ© Films" click HERE to go to their vimeo page to watch their other creations. Also, check them out on instagram! You will not be disappointed!

omigosh I can't wait to see the wedding day vid. I get a giddy tummy just thinking about it!

|| Mr + Mrs ||

Hi hello! My name is Chandler Flitton!!
Life is finally starting to slow down again!
After I returned home from Norway, I graduated from Utah State University 3 days later.
Then it was onto engagements, wedding planning, dress fittings, showers full of family, friends, and insanely adorable and sexy-time gifts. AYOH!

July 12, 2014 was the most perfect day of my life.
Besides the fact that I nearly passed out then vomitted in the temple parking lot, it was a dream.
I cannot wait to get all of our photos back so I can bask in the glory of our post-bethrothal.

I love my husband. I love being his wife.
And that's all there is to it.

Now that I am a wife, maybe I will keep up with this a bit more.
I'm thinking of changing some stuff around (yet, again).

We shall see.

Adios, darlings. I'm off to finish some well deserved thank you cards!

xoxo,
chan

Norway: The First Days

I made it!! We have been in Rosendal for about 4 days now - even though it feels like it has been weeks already. Our travels were pretty harmless. Besides being forever long, we all made it to the motherland. We flew from SLC to Detroit, Detroit to Amsterdam with a two hour layover, then Amsterdam to Bergen, Norway. We had to wait 4 hours at the teeny tiny airport, so I exchanged all of my US dollars to Kroner. Everything is much more expensive here, so that will take some adjustment. Once it was time to catch the bus, we packed our crap up and lugged our luagged to the bus. We took a 10 minute bus ride to the "fastboat" or "ferry" dock. We took a two hour trip on the fast boat to the city of Rosendal. It was cold, windy, and rainy. It definitely felt like I was in Portland or Seattle. Everything is green and luscious. I absolutely love it.
We were all super exhausted after a 30 hour journey, but when we made our way to our cabins we were told we were to go to our supervisor's home for dinner. It was delicious and so kind of them. By the time we had full tummies and the sun had set, we all could barely keep our eyes open.
Finally, we slept!!
We woke up and got ready for a tour of Rosendal the next morning. We went on long walks through the hills up to the Baroneit ("barony"). That is the castle built in the 1500's where the Baron and Baroness of Norway used to live. I wouldn't mind making that my summer home one day...
There are magnificent gardens and trees surrounding it! It was a magical place.
We then made our way to Steinparken ("stone park"). It is a perfectly green park in the middle of the forest with polished stones all around. A creek runs right through the middle of it. It would be the perfect place for a springtime picnic.
We then headed back towards the cabins to do a little grocery shopping. That was definitely a new experience.
I am loving being here and this beautiful town of Rosendal.
I get to take a ferry across the fjord to my school everyday. It makes for a long travel day, but it is so funny to think that this is just their "freeway" system. They drive from their homes to the ferry, park their car right on the boat, then end up in a completely different town. I love it.
My students are darling and BEAUTIFUL. They are so well behaved and polite. and VERY active. It is so different than American schools and I cannot wait to bring home a lot of these methods and utilize them in my future classroom!
Here is a video of the first couple days of travel and exploration. I made it with my iPhone, so it is not by any means a high definition or amazing quality video!

I dont know if that is going to work or not... SO if it doesn't, click HERE!!!

Here are some photos that I have taken myself or taken from some of the other student teachers I am here with!
I will hopefully post some more updates on my students and the funny moments that are going to happen!

Hi Hello

Oh my word.
Why do I do this to myself?
So much has happened in such a short amount of time that this sweet little blog has fallen to the wayside.
I will just say that these past 5 months have been pure bliss.
They have been full of adjustment and change.
I finished another semester of school.
Moved home to Murray permanently (for a couple months).
Had the happiest and wealthiest of holidays.
Fell in love all over again.
Am currently student teaching.
GOT ENGAGED!!!
Leaving for Norway (second half of student teaching) in NINE days.
Trying really really hard to stay sane while planning a wedding, student teaching, and preparing to live in Norway for 2 months.
I'm absolutely thrilled to have this opportunity.
It's just a lot to take it all at once.
Who wants to leave a cute fiancé??
Not me!
But two months will fly.
And it's not like we haven't done it before...

I will do individual posts about the whole engagement story and little things here and there.

ALSO,
shout to the one and only Kenzi Staples for giving this blog of mine a cute new face!!
Check her out here!!

Check back soon for the whole engagement story!!!

xoxo

HE'S HOME.

That night feels like a blur. It was unreal. He was awkward, I was awkward. We were all just really really happy. The hug was wonderful, better than I could have imagined. So many moments that I will never forget...
I feel like I still have so many things going through my head.
Let's just say that things will happen day by day.
A lot of adjustment will be taking place - for everyone.
But at the end of the day, there are a whole lotta smiles goin on after two of the best years and best night of my life.
Thank you to my awesome possum of a sis for taking these photos!!!

5 days.

How is it possible that the last 716 days have been a breeze and just flown right by and now we are down to 5 days and I feel like time will not move?
It's killin me.
I am so ready to see that man.
SO READY.

If you are wondering, these are my emotions:

-Calm
-minor nervous tummy when I think too much about it
-Nervousness for how awkward it might be at the airport with everyone watching...
-Excited that I have pretty much the whole next week off of life. (Tender mercies. God is good to me)

ok, this is making me think too much about it.
nervous tummy...

kbye.

16th grade.

I am so excited to be a senior and put all of my hard work to the test this last year in Logan.
I feel so blessed to have had this opportunity and meet the people I have met.
Here's to a successful 4th year of college with only minor stress.
